Bought a newer model(3250) and it didn't last as long as the first one. Same problem. When they worked, the floors looked terrific.
Just ordered an H20 steamer for $79.99 from Walter Drake's online. Hoping for better luck.
Ripped off in Folsom, LouisianaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2944357409056905579.post-24523585414071145922012-02-18T14:51:53.093-08:002012-02-18T14:51:53.093-08:00We bought a shark steam mop and found out that it ...We bought a shark steam mop and found out that it stops producing steam after a number of uses because the aluminum body used for the heating chamber has very small diameter inlet and outlet and I have found that the outlet port plugs due to the aluminum material breaking down and plugging the outlet port several times. Perhaps constant use my slow down the plugging process, but who really steams their floors every day. Maybe a stainless chamber would be better suited for that application. Conclusion = save your money, low quality materials.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2944357409056905579.post-58896478422234115722012-02-10T09:25:02.572-08:002012-02-10T09:25:02.572-08:00I bought the more expensive steam mop model with t...I bought the more expensive steam mop model with the extra cloths and mop heads. At first I found it hard to push but got used to it. I liked the way it cleaned and the floor felt very smooth. After 8 months of weekly use it stopped steaming even while pumping the handle. When I took the mop head off a huge burst of steam shot out. The mop was obvilously making steam but it wouldn't go through the mop head. Big disappointment, I loved the way it cleaned but don't know if I can trust to buy another.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2944357409056905579.post-88832576777822784002011-11-23T11:00:19.810-08:002011-11-23T11:00:19.810-08:00Purchased the version with all the bells and whist...Purchased the version with all the bells and whistles, attachments, hoses, and ordered extra cloths, too. This product is junk. The mop head moves out of line with the direction it is being pushed, and unless your floors are already 100% clean, vacuumed, and damp mopped, all it does is push dirt around. I used it three times, and it stopped producing steam.

It is so cumbersome to manage, that plan on removing every single item from your counter tops and floor surface because you won't have an extra hand to do it while using the machine.

Parts are junk. Cloths are junk even if directions are followed for pre-washing, air drying, and only using mild detergent. If you order this product, hang onto to your conventional supplies because you'll be using them again in no time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2944357409056905579.post-71960948437354285222011-10-31T13:43:50.037-07:002011-10-31T13:43:50.037-07:00I purchased a Monster steam mop a couple of months...I purchased a Monster steam mop a couple of months ago and I LOVE it. I have allergies and I love the idea that I can keep dust mites to a minimum by using the steam mop. I also use it on my other floors, minus the carpet attachment, to kill germs/eliminate anything that is "alive" that I can't see. The floors don't shine but I don't mind using a something on the floor that adds shine, after I know they are clean. The "clean, germ free and dust mite free" aspect is why I purchased it. I've also heard that heat the 260 degree heat kills bedbugs. I don't have that problem but if one ever hops on me from somewhere I've visited and lands on the floor, I hope to zap it and its friends up too. I think it's a GREAT buy. Kudos to whomever invented steam cleaners!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2944357409056905579.post-30326855419426381182011-10-25T22:02:45.232-07:002011-10-25T22:02:45.232-07:00I bought the Shark steam mop. In living area it streaked it and did not leave it shiny at all. Not worth the money!!!! Not like I had hoped for!!!!!! Will be taking it back, tomorrow!!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2944357409056905579.post-74810015184260619632011-07-26T10:21:56.984-07:002011-07-26T10:21:56.984-07:00I purchased the Shark Steam Mop (Deluxe Model) les...I purchased the Shark Steam Mop (Deluxe Model) less than a year ago, and it quit making steam. I started dampening the mop cloth before I get started to allow the mop to glide more smoothly. I have ceramic tile and it works okay. My friend has one and uses it on her wood floors and loves it because it doesn't get the floor real wet. I must confess that I don't use the steam mop all the time. I often find my conventional mop to be more convenient.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2944357409056905579.post-85940732328649561182010-05-03T10:55:44.612-07:002010-05-03T10:55:44.612-07:00I purchase a Shark steam mop - S3501W in Jan. After using several times, I decided to send it back as it did NOT clean like the commercials were showing, it was harder to push around than any other type of conventional mop, and the long cord is a pain to deal with. I sent it back following all the proper proceedures, but despite the 100 % guarantee, they have stolen $90 from me (so far), and can still get no satisfaction that I will ever get a refund - this from a person in INDIA - I asked! Do not buy this product.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
